Sankt Hans

The last couple of weeks we have been busy.

The house has been rented from the 1st of August, personal belongings collected over 27 years have been reviewed - some have been thrown out and others packed in boxes, we have held a farewell reception for Pia's work colleagues, had a visit from Ulla & Bertil, crossed fingers to Pia would not relapse after another DC conversion at Gentofte Hospital and luckily also remembered to relax when we got too tired.

We have been so busy with all this that we have not had time to sail for almost 3 weeks.

On Saint Hans evening we had invited 6 good friends on a trip along the coast to see bonfires.

Before sailing we saw the Cannon Association make 3 cannon salutes on the occasion of Saint Hans.

We anchored next to Marienlyst Hotel, where a large St. Hans bonfire had been set up.

When we had eaten, black clouds pulled up from inland, the wind came as if released from a bag and soon the rain fell with heavy drops, while we could hear Outlandish play "In Denmark I was born"

After a while we were the only boat and when we had drunk the coffee, we sailed home and were received by Krapsø when we passed Kronborg in the dark.

As we sailed against power and waves, we watched a fireworks of close and big lightning, so far beyond Sweden that we could not hear the brags.

The boat jumped and danced on the edge of the narrow long entrance to the harbor before we slid into the basin's calm and stuck the ridge between the posts to our seat.

We said goodbye to our guests and read news about the poll in the UK before we went to the bunk.

The Remain side had to win and we were both sad to fashion when we realized that the Leave side had won in the morning, thus throwing Europe out of great uncertainty.
