After some bump on the road it finally managed to get away.
Yesterday we drove to Helsingør and picked up the winter tires for the Audi car.
On the way back we drove to two car dealers and decided to sell to Autohuset Schibsbye, where a young man - Charlie - showed how a car shop can also take place.
In the afternoon we visited one of Pia's girlfriends and one of my colleagues from the happy days of the bank.
In the evening came Daniel & Emilie and Niklas & Olivia. We grilled, ate dinner and talked until late in the evening.
The next morning we woke up to another nice sunrise.
I drove the Audi car up to Espergærde, got the deal settled and accepted Charlie's polite invitation to drive me the nice long way to the station.
When I came back, Pia had almost finished washing the clothes in our smart little washing machine. We had bought it a few days earlier. It was the first time it was tried. It washed the clothes clean, but since it cannot spin it was somewhat difficult to get it dried.
Shortly after, Daniel came to sail with us to Dragør in our mobile home with home port in Humlebæk, from where we will spend a holiday abroad for up to one year. (To express it now in the terms of the CPR Act).
During lunch the harbormaster Peter and the assistant Bertram came to say goodbye.
They are both experienced globetrotters. Has closely followed our preparations and wished us luck on the way forward.
After lunch we got ready for departure. Filled up with diesel and sailed out of the harbor at 15.00 p.m.,
We had the wind strike and went for a ride to Dragør in the warm weather.
We found a good free space and are now waiting for the wind to go west so we can get a half wind over Køge Bay.
According to the weather forecast, the wind direction should change at the end of the afternoon today.
So we hope to get out on Saturday.
Dear Pia and Carl
Thanks for a nice evening the other day. When you sit there in the harbor you understand why you are so happy about the sailing life. But it is now hard for the old knees to be curled together under the table in the cockpit.
Nice to hear that the trip has now started in earnest. We wish you good wind and with excitement follow you here on the blog, so we know where to find you when we come down in Europe.
Loving greetings Marianne and Mikkel
