Morning

We arrived in Alicante on October 19th. Since then, the days have almost flown by, while we have been busy finding a place to live, exploring the city, going for walks, bathing, reading, relaxing, learning a little of the language (very little) and generally digesting the last half years of many impressions.

Our apartment is located in the center of Alicante.

From the bay window in the living room, we have a view of a small square with cafes and a few smaller shops. There is also a view of a street life with lots of restaurants, which at this time of the year are visited by students from the University of Alicante – a fairly large university with almost 30.000 students.

On the property's ground floor is a café. We have become friends with the owner, Abbadi – an enterprising gentleman who uses the café for his many meetings with business contacts.

When we moved in, Octavio - the estate agent - gave us the password for the café's wifi. Then we could use the cafe's wifi until after 2 days wifi would be installed in our apartment.

The 2 days were 14 and many times Abbadi told us that it would not be so long before the installation was finished. He was apparently well informed by Octavio, who said the same thing when we met in the office to hear about the progress of the project.

A few days ago, Abbadi told us that he owns the real estate business, that all the staff has been laid off until the end of the month and that he has promised Anna - the property owner - to arrange the payment directly with us.

That's fine with us, except that Octavio says he doesn't know anything about any Anna and that he owns the cafe.

Both have been banned from each other that it is not urgent to pay rent for December.

So it's mañana.

So, let's fix it when we get there.

Thank you for reading the report

I once heard that in Denmark you just have to travel to Funen to find a little Mañana mood.
