At the beginning of the week we started selling our Swift.
We researched the sales opportunities and decided to sell through autocom.dk - an online auction.
The auction is aimed at approx. 4.000 registered car dealers.
The buyer's bid is binding, and the seller is obliged to sell by bidding at the minimum price or above.
If the minimum price is not reached, the car is put on sale at an expanded auction, where private buyers can also bid.
On the net we found an expected price and also drove the car to a dealer who gave a bid.
I registered the car for the auction, put the minimum price slightly above the dealer's bid and received the first bid shortly after the auction opened.
There was good bidding activity all Thursday and we had high expectations for the price on Friday morning, when the auction closed.
But on Friday morning the interest was less and when the auction ended we had received DKK 2.500 more than if we had sold to the dealer a few days before.
The deduction of the salary was the total gain of 250kr.
Not a big win, but good to know that a market price was achieved.
