Back

At the end of January, Niklas finished his studies at Aalborg University. Of course we had to go home and celebrate. Quite shortly before, we got a call from Olivia and Niklas. They wanted to tell us that Olivia is pregnant - wow what a news !!!

We boarded a jam-packed plane in Malaga, got a lot of turbulence and a decent shake until the plane was well north of the Pyrenees. 3 1/2 hours after boarding we got off the plane in Kastrup. On the way to the exit it suddenly sounded

- What the hell Carl and Hi Pia

It was Ude and Bodil who had visited us in Alicante in early December. They were now on their way out to the gate for a 5 week long trip to South America. We managed to say no how strange, hug hello, exchange latest news, take a selfie, and hug goodbye before rushing on.

We had not been in Denmark for over 4 months. Strange to be back. Feel the cold, be able to relate to the people around them and understand what was said.

We thought about our travel card. Exactly as cumbersome as we remembered. Nor did DSB disappoint. The train to Copenhagen was delayed. Everything was as it used to be.

At the end of the evening we entered the door of Niklas and Olivia for a well-stocked table of homemade Danish sandwiches.

Great to be back and be a part of all the "latest". It is at such times that one recognizes the limitations of Skype, Messenger and Snapchat.

Late in the evening we locked ourselves in Daniel & Emilie's apartment in Nørrebro. They were on their annual trip to Hong Kong. We could stay with them while we were in Denmark.

During the next couple of days we arranged different things, went on a trip to Nørrebro and talked about how the neighborhood changed.

Now it is resourceful young people who characterize the street scene. Most with an unmistakable Jutland dialect. In Lagkagehuset on Nørrebro's roundabout, they buy rye bread for DKK 39, shop in probably the most well-stocked Kvickly we've seen and visit greengrocers with long opening hours and a large selection of goods. On Sundays they eat brunch at the cafes along the lakes, work on their MacBooks if they are not looking after children or just chat with friends over a cup of coffee.

When the weather after a few days turned to cold and snow, we planned the rest of the winter season.

The heat of Alicante enticed and we also wanted to experience the last part of the Spanish Mediterranean coast from the land side.

The plan was to fly to Alicante, rent a car, drive north and fly from Barcelona to Copenhagen in the first half of March, where Pia is going for heart check-ups. At the end of March we go to Maastricht and resume sailing to the Mediterranean.

The plan is obviously guilty of the advice Eric, the founder of Maastricht, gave us in an email:

"Like always when sailing: make sure you have a flexible planning that you can easily adapt to the circumstances".

Thank you for reading the report

Hi Pia and Carl - you get to experience a little - and then back in little cold Denmark for a comment. And congratulations to Olivia. 🙂 Yes - it takes a while before I have time to travel and do what I want - like almost 338 days, but then I am also myself and can do what I want without having to take time off and have trouble with a boss 🙂 There is not yet something new about any class / school camaraderie event - and it will be exciting to see where you / i are in the world when the 2nd part sometime... Read more »

Dear both,
Where can you only enjoy the well-written posts - and rejoice that you are just living life. And meanwhile grandchildren are being produced, new presidents are being installed and I am now sitting and watching Asger Jensby on DR2, which relates to the concept of 'greed' !!!!! The globe is turning - a little. Tsk… tsk…

Otherwise all reasonably well here. We have no grandchildren on the way - but now 2 dogs….

And you are always welcome here near Furesøen

It is not very easy to pay the Tepai tax online. The official manual was last updated in May 2019. Since then, quite a few changes have been made.

Here's what worked on August 16, 2022 and May 15, 2023

Start to apply on https://www1.aade.gr/aadeapps2/etepai/

You can check whether your application has been approved by going to the front page (Where you started)

Your new application is now at the bottom of the list. Scroll to the right. The last column now says `New'.

After a few minutes (sometimes a few hours) you will receive an email with two attachments. The one 'Application form' is your application. The second 'ePavorolo' is your payment information. Take a printout of the last one and take it to a post office or bank if you prefer to pay your Tepai there.

If you don't want to spend your time finding a post office or a bank and que up for a couple of hours, you can pay online.

Log in to your online bank.

Now fill in the payment request like this

Recipient

IBAN:

GR1201000230000000481090510

Name:

International Authority for Public Revenue (AADE)

Address:

Sina 2-4

City and Postcode:

106 72 Athens

Remittance to receiver

The 20 digit 'Administrative fee code' which you will find in the ePavorolo file. It is important that you do not insert anything other than the 20 digits.

Recipients bank

The Bank's Bank Code:

BNGRGRAA

Remember to indicate that you want to pay in EURO.

Payment is made at 15.00:XNUMX CET.

Log in after an hour or two https://www1.aade.gr/aadeapps2/etepai/

At the bottom right it now says 'Paid'.

...Voila

You can save the file in Pdf format. Then show it on your mobile phone, tablet or PC if you need to document that you have paid your TEPAI. You can of course also make a print of it.

PS

If for some reason you do not receive an email with the application and payment information or receive your payment back, you can try to complete the payment with the code that begins with RF and is followed by 23 digits.

It is on the web form in the column to the left of the column where it says 'New'.
